Frequently asked questions

What products does your manufacturing company produce?

We design and manufacture single point automatic lubricators. Single point lubricators are designed to enhance the reliability of your lubrication program with automatic regreasing capabilities. These lubricators ensure that critical applications receive the right amount of lubricant at the right time, eliminating the risk of equipment damage due to incorrect or inadequate lubrication.

What is the typical lead time for product delivery?

Lead time depends mainly on order quantity. We normally keep around 1,000 sets in stock, so most orders ship within a very short time. For quantities beyond our stock, we agree a delivery schedule with you to meet your requirements.

How do you ensure the quality of your products?

Cyfoss products pass a complete design validation programme, and series production follows strict quality standards from supply chain and incoming material through in-house manufacturing to final inspection. Most of our team come from the automotive industry, with more than ten years of experience in supply chain management and industrial quality control — a core strength behind our product quality.

What is your return and refund policy?

Any quality problem within one year is replaced free of charge. Beyond the one-year warranty we can still repair the unit, charging only for parts and labour.

How do I choose between the 125-set and the 250-set?

The choice depends on how much lubricant your equipment needs. If consumption is low — for example only 10–20 ml per month — the 125-set is sufficient. For higher consumption choose the larger 250-set. Contact our engineers and we will provide detailed parameters to help you decide.

How long does one grease cartridge last?

The grease itself has a shelf life of two years. Once fitted to the lubricator, one cartridge lasts from 1 to 12 months, set by the dial according to the lubrication demand.

What temperature range can the Cyfoss lubricator work in?

The Cyfoss single point automatic lubricator operates from −20 °C to 60 °C. For ambient temperatures below freezing we recommend the optional low-temperature battery pack.

What is the IP rating of the Cyfoss lubricator?

The Cyfoss single point automatic lubricator is rated IP65.

Can I use my own grease?

Yes. We can fill the cartridges with the grease you specify, or supply empty cartridges for you to fill yourself. Contact us if you would like the filling instruction video.

Why use an automatic lubricator?

01

Reliability

Longer component life

Continuous automatic lubrication significantly improves the reliability and life of components. Up to 50% of premature equipment failures are caused by incorrect lubrication or contaminated grease.

No lubrication-related failures

Clean, fresh grease is supplied steadily; the IP65-rated Cyfoss keeps water and dust away from the bearing, avoiding both the abnormal temperature rise of over-lubrication and the wear and failure of under-lubrication.

Reliability

02

Safety

Lower accident risk

Automatic lubrication reduces the time maintenance staff spend in hazardous areas. Studies show automatic systems can cut lubrication-related accident risk by up to 90%.

Less human contact

People stay separated from running machinery, avoiding slips and other incidents caused by manual greasing.

Safety

03

Maintenance cost

Lower total cost

Compared with manual greasing, grease consumption and labour cost drop substantially while component life increases — the total cost of lubrication falls significantly.

Lubrication without downtime

Automatic lubrication reduces equipment damage and repairs caused by under- or over-lubrication. With fewer unplanned stoppages, total cost of ownership (TCO) also falls.

Maintenance cost

Where are automatic lubricators used?

Motor bearings

Motor bearings

Electric motor bearings are the most common application. The lubricator keeps grease flowing continuously so bearings never run dry, cutting the frequency and workload of manual greasing across industries from automotive plants to mining machinery.

Pump bearings

Pump bearings

Water, oil and process pump bearings receive steady lubrication throughout operation, avoiding dry running or over-greasing. On pumps that must run continuously — boiler feed pumps, petrochemical process pumps — automatic lubrication reduces maintenance frequency.

Fan bearings

Fan bearings

Fan bearings in tunnels and cooling towers usually sit high up or in enclosed spaces, making them ideal for automatic lubrication. The lubricator regreases on a set cycle, so fans stay properly lubricated without shutting down for manual greasing.

Chains

Chains

Drive and conveyor chains need frequent lubrication. A single point lubricator controls both interval and quantity precisely, preventing dry chains and excess oil — used on conveyor chains, elevator chains, escalator and moving-walk chains.

Gears and racks

Gears and racks

Open gear drives such as large ring gears and rack mechanisms need regular lubrication. The lubricator maintains a continuous oil film, preventing metal-to-metal contact in heavily loaded meshes — mining ring gears, steel mill gears, paper machine dryer gears.

Guideways

Guideways

Linear and sliding guideways need even lubrication along their whole length, which is hard to achieve manually. Lubricators can serve several points along a rail or feed centrally through tubing — CNC machine guides, lift and escalator guide grooves.

We help businesses run their operations with the best lubrication solutions.
